Thuringia is the solar state. Every tenth solar cell in the world is produced here and SolarInput e.V. as network of the Thuringia solar industry and the Central German solar valley cluster of excellence [Solarvalley Mitteldeutschland] is long established in Erfurt. Besides the many energy advantages the aesthetic aspects of solar plants on facades, structures and in the countryside are coming increasingly into focus. Architects, solar manufacturers and construction industry experts are dealing with precisely this topic from 13th to 14th November 2012 at the Erfurt exhibition centre. After a successful start the International Bauhaus.SOLAR Congress - Technology - Design - Environment is already going into its fifth round.

The international congress is a joint project by industry representatives and engineers from the SolarInput association, architects from the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the Thüringer Energie- und GreenTech-Agentur (ThEGA) in cooperation with the Messe Erfurt GmbH.

Many renowned speakers and an innovative congress programme invite you to specialist discourse at an international level. An accompanying exhibition displays practical applications of solar structures and guarantees industry networking opportunities. The Bauhaus.SOLAR Award is being awarded for the second time as part of the congress. The prize is awarded to students and young graduates and honours superb architecture and design projects for the innovative use of renewable energies.
